About Me
My name is Peter Clarke, and I will work collaboratively with you, to ensure you develop the tools to cope with life’s trials and tribulations.
By capitalising on your pre-existing skills, it is my intention to bring to the forefront, your strengths whilst helping you recognise and improve on your weaknesses.
Using clinically tested and evidence based interventions, I have provided hundreds of hours of 1-1 counselling in a community setting throughout Belfast. This has afforded me a wealth of experience in working with anxiety, depression, loss and bereavement.
I am a fully qualified counsellor, and registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I have a First Class Honours degree in counselling and psychotherapy, a level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, a level 4 diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and a level 2 foundation course in bereavement care.
With both anxiety and depression becoming ever more prevalent in todays society, and research suggesting that Cognitive behavioural Therapy is effective in treating both, I employ an integrative counselling approach that has its foundation in CBT.
